Wolves reportedly offered Ricky Rubio and fifth pick for Bulls' Jimmy Butler
The Wolves reportedly offered Ricky Rubio and the No. 5 pick (Kris Dunn) for Jimmy Butler on Thursday night.
Chicago would have been kind of crazy to accept this deal, but it shows how close (or not close) the Bulls were to trading Butler. Chicago reportedly wanted Zach LaVine instead of Rubio, which would have at least made the deal a little sweeter for Chicago. Ultimately, it looks like Butler will remain a Bull next season.
Butler is one of the best players in the league, regarded as an elite two-way force. He averaged 20.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists per night while posting an 8.6 nERD, which ranked 15th in the NBA.
