Jazz shoot down Suns' offer for Gordon Hayward

The Utah Jazz declined an offer from the Phoenix Suns for Gordon Hayward, according to Marc Stein of ESPN.

What It Means:

Hayward has appeared in several trade rumors leading up to the draft. Where there is smoke, there is usually fire, so don't be surprised to see him moved. Phoenix reportedly offered up Eric Bledsoe and a lottery pick to Utah, but the Jazz don't have a need at guard, especially after landing George Hill in a Wednesday trade.

Hayward, 26, has become one of the better players in the league, so Utah's asking price will be high. He averaged 19.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.8 treys last season. His 5.9 nERD ranked 28th.
