Cleveland's J.R. Smith says he'll be more aggressive in Game 3

Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard J.R. Smith said he'll be looking for his shot early in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

What It Means:

"Just looking for my shot early, penetrate and try to get a couple easy ones just to see the ball go through the net," Smith said. "They're running me off my spots a little bit... I just have to feel comfortable when I get in that situation to make the shot or take the shot or create a better play." Smith was Cleveland's fourth leading scorer during the regular season, but he's been a no-show through the first two games of the finals, averaging just 4.0 points on 33.3 percent shooting. That trend simply cannot continue if Cleveland hopes to even up the series back at home.

Smith averaged 12.4 points and 2.6 3-pointers per game in the regular season with a 54.2 True Shooting Percentage. Despite his struggles in the finals, these totals have moved to 11.0 points, 3.2 3-pointers and a 63.7 True Shooting Percentage in the playoffs.
