Giannis Antetokounmpo reportedly unlikely to play for Greece

Milwaukee Bucks small forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is reportedly unlikely to play for Greece this summer.

What It Means:

The Bucks are in the process of converting Antetokounmpo to point guard, and despite his desire to play for the national team, Milwaukee is pushing for him to devote his focus to the role change.

He ranked 52nd in the NBA with a 2.9 nERD this season, and averaged career-highs with 17.2 points, 7.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game. He already showed some major improvements as a facilitator this year, with a career-high 20.0 percent assist rate and career-low 14.8 percent turnover rate, and a full offseason of work should help further that improvement.
