Pacers insist they are not interested in dealing Paul George
The Indiana Pacers are "absolutely not" looking to move Paul George, according to sources of Steve Kyler.
Kyler was reportedly laughed off the phone when he asked one of his Indiana sources if the Pacers were at all looking into dealing George, which is pretty much the reaction you'd expect. An earlier rumor from Bill Simmons stated the Los Angeles Lakers would like to try and trade for George this summer. That's understandable on the Lakers' behalf, but considering what the Lakers have to offer, it doesn't make much sense for Indiana.
George -- regarded as one of the best two-way players in the league -- ended the regular season with per-game averages of 23.1 points, 7.0 boards 4.1 assists and 1.9 steals. His 49.0 Effective Field Goal Percentage was right in line with his career average (49.4). George checked in 23rd with a 7.0 nERD. If Indiana deals him, it'll surely get back a hefty return.
