Dwight Howard, Rockets were at odds over his role

Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard and the team were at odds over his role during the season, according to Howard.

What It Means:

He felt his role being reduced, and was shot down when he asked to be more involved. All things considered, it looks incredibly unlikely that Howard will be a Rocket next season.

He finished 46th with a 3.6 nERD this year, and did manage some solid numbers. His 20.2 percent total rebound rate was his highest since he left the Orlando Magic, as was his .604 True Shooting Percentage. Despite the off-court drama, Howard can still be a valuable contributor if he finds the right landing spot.
