Joakim Noah

Joakim Noah reportedly having positive talks with Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are reportedly having a "positive dialogue" with impending free agent center Joakim Noah.

What It Means:

It was recently reported Noah told teammates he was ready to leave Chicago due to concerns about the team's front office. His agent quickly refuted the report, and now, "Those close to Noah ... are still hopeful that he will be able to work out an agreement to stay in Chicago long term." A lot of this is posturing, and we won't know which way Noah is truly leaning until free agency begins in earnest.

Noah had one of the worst years of his career in 2015-'16. He averaged only 4.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 21.9 minutes per game. His True Shooting Percentage also plummeted to 40.6 percent in 29 games played. Noah will likely sign a one-year "show-me" deal in order to reestablish his value as a free agent, but the injury concerns will make him a tough guy to target prior to the final few rounds on draft day.
