Toronto's Cory Joseph shines in harrowing Game 7 win
Toronto Raptors guard Cory Joseph had another terrific game on Sunday, posting eight points, three rebounds, four assists and one block in the Raptors' series-clinching 89-84 home victory over the Indiana Pacers.
Joseph is shining in the national spotlight, and his two-way play off the bench is a big reason Toronto won their first playoff series since 2001. His penetration helped Toronto win the fastbreak battle for the first time all series, 12-8, and he was even more critical with Kyle Lowry (11 points on 5-of-14 shooting) struggling for most of the game.
In the regular season, Joseph checked in 95th with a -1.5 nERD. He averaged 8.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per night.
