Omer Asik starting, Luke Babbitt to the Pelicans' bench
New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Omer Asik will return to the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Boston Celtics, sending Luke Babbitt back to the bench.
Asik has been very garbage lately, and only managed to log four minutes in his previous start, so he can't be considered a viable target in any setting despite the starter designation. Babbitt should still be able to see close to 30 minutes off the bench with how ridiculously injured New Orleans is.
Asik ranks 86th with a -1.2 nERD on the year, while Babbitt is just ahead of him at 84th with a -1.0 nERD. Our models project Babbitt to put up 11.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 3-pointers tonight against the Celtics.
