Suns' Brandon Knight (sports hernia) out for season

Phoenix Suns guard Brandon Knight (sports hernia) is out for the season.

What It Means:

Considering Knight has been trending toward a shutdown for the last several games, this really doesn't come as a surprise. He will get a second opinion and could potentially face surgery, but no decision has been made on that front just yet. Without Knight the rest of the way, it will be a lot of Ronnie Price and Devin Booker in the backcourt with some cameo performances by John Jenkins and Archie Goodwin. Of that group, Booker is really the only one who belongs on fantasy rosters.

Knight has struggled with a -5.6 nERD, which ranks in the bottom 20 of the league, in 52 games played. He's averaging 19.6 points, 5.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 2.3 3-pointers per game and 3.4 turnovers per game while posting a 52.2 True Shooting Percentage.
