Miami's Hassan Whiteside suspended one game for elbow
Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside has been suspended one game for elbowing Boban Marjanovic in the head during Tuesday's loss to the San Antonio Spurs.
Whiteside will miss Miami's next game, which is February 19 against the Atlanta Hawks. Amar'e Stoudemire will likely start with Whiteside out, and Chris Bosh should see extended time at the five-spot.
Whiteside owns the 17th-best nERD this season at 8.2. He's averaging 12.2 points, 11.0 rebounds and a league-best 3.9 blocks per game while posting a 61.7 True Shooting Percentage. We project him to average 10.2 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game over the remaining course of the season.
