Hornets' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist diagnosed with torn labrum

Charlotte Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been diagnosed with a torn labrum, and he's in danger of missing the remainder of the 2015-'16 season.

What It Means:

Kidd-Gilchrist had an MRI, and it revealed a torn labrum in his right shoulder. The Hornets will re-evaluate him after the All-Star break, but he's likely going to miss several games, if not the rest of the season. Jeremy Lin should benefit the most from Kidd-Gilchrist's absence while P.J. Hairston will likely enter the starting lineup.

Kidd-Gilchrist has played just seven games this season, posting a 0.8 nERD, which ranks 71st. He's averaging 12.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. His 60.3 True Shooting Percentage would easily be a career best.
