James Harden scores 34 as Rockets get turned aside by Portland
Houston Rockets guard/forward James Harden scored 34 points during a 116-103 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday with nine rebounds, 11 assists, two steals, eight turnovers and three 3-pointers.
What It Means:
The stat line was huge, but Harden was roasted on defense. Houston coach J.B. Bickerstaff said the Rockets are "broken" and it's "that simple." Bickerstaff also added he doesn't know if the roster will change at the deadline. Whatever the case, Harden will be a stat-stuffing machine in fantasy.
Harden is sitting eighth with an 11.7 nERD. He is averaging 28.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 7.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.8 3-pointers. His 59.4 True Shooting Percentage is the lowest since his rookie season while he has the second-highest Usage Rate in the league.
