Nuggets' coach hints at more minutes for Joffrey Lauvergne
Denver Nuggets forward/center Joffrey Lauvergne will receive more playing time moving forward, hinted Denver coach Mike Malone.
Lauvergne is coming off of a double-double in 29 minutes on Sunday. "I've been trying to play him lately because I think Joffrey's work ethic and his character are going to be big pieces moving forward," Malone said. With Nikola Jokic locked into place as the starting center, this is bad news for Jusuf Nurkic.
Lauvergne has earned a 0.2 nERD through 30 games this season, ranking 71st in the league. He's averaging 7.7 points and 5.3 rebounds while logging 17.9 minutes a night.
