Jimmy Butler (knee) says he will play Friday for Bulls
Chicago Bulls guard/forward Jimmy Butler (knee) said he will play against the Denver Nuggets on Friday and is now listed as probable.
This is surprising to hear, especially considering the Bulls said they wanted to be smart with Butler and his knee. This news doesn't officially mean Butler will play, but it's looking like he'll be able to take the court. Butler's availability makes E'Twaun Moore a less appealing option Friday, and Tony Snell can be expected to head back to the bench.
Butler has been great this season, posting the eighth-best nERD at 12.3. He's averaging 22.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game while posting a 56.7 True Shooting Percentage. We project him to score 21.4 points, grab 4.7 boards and dish out 4.2 assists against the Nuggets.
