Kevon Looney reportedly re-signs with Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have re-signed forward/center Kevon Looney to a three-year, $15M contract per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

What It Means:

Looney was a sought after free agent, with the Boston Celtics among many interested in the big man. He ultimately decided to return to Golden State and is locked at a reasonable salary until 2022. Looney could start at center while splitting minutes with Damian Jones next season.

Looney averaged 6.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks per game last season.
