Enes Kanter, Celtics come to terms for 2 years, $10 million
The Boston Celtics and center Enes Kanter, formerly of the Portland Trail Blazers, have agreed to a 2-year, $10 million deal, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
The deal includes a player option on the second year. Kanter will compete with Daniel Theis and Robert Williams for minutes at center in Boston's rotation. He's a sieve on defense, but a quality producer of points, boards, and percentages.
Kanter averaged 13.7 points and 9.8 rebounds on 54.9 field goal percentage in 24.5 minutes per game for the Trail Blazers and New York Knicks last season.
