Bulls' Lauri Markkanen (fatigue) will not play again this season
Chicago Bulls forward Lauri Markkanen (fatigue) will not play again this season, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Markkanen experienced extreme fatigue in Tuesday's loss to the Toronto Raptors and sat out on Wednesday as well. With less than two weeks remaining in the season, the Bulls will play it safe with the second-year big man and shut him down. Brandon Sampson started in his place on Wednesday and would see an uptick in minutes and some starts as the season winds down.
Markkanen finishes the season with averages of 18.7 points, 9.0 rebounds, 0.7 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game.
