Joseph Young

Joseph Young makes summer league debut

Pacers second-round pick Joseph Young made his summer league debut posting nine points, three rebounds, and four assists in 21 minutes.

What It Means:

Young had foot issues during his draft workout, but appeared healthy during the game. Young averaged 20.7 points during his senior year at Oregon, but will have to develop his passing and long-range shooting ability as he only averaged 3.8 assists and shot 35.7% from deep. Young will have the opportunity to learn from a successful undersized NBA scorer in Monta Ellis, if Young earns a roster spot with the Pacers.
