Trevor Ariza (groin) ruled out for Wizards Thursday, Troy Brown to make first NBA start
Washington Wizards guard/forward Trevor Ariza (left groin strain) will not play on Thursday versus the Denver Nuggets.
Ariza will be replaced in the starting lineup by first-round pick Troy Brown, who logged a career-high 29.7 minutes and scored 9 points (3-of-5 field goals, 2-of-2 free throws) while pulling down a career-best 10 rebounds with 2 assists, 1 steal, and 1 triple on Wednesday. Jabari Parker and Jeff Green should see more work on offense.
Ariza has averaged 28.1 FanDuel points in 68 games between the Wizards and Phoenix Suns this season. He's recorded 14.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.2 triples over 42 starts for Washington.
