Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving (knee) is 'very, very close' to returning according to general manager Danny Ainge.
What It Means:
Irving is currently in Charlotte for All-Star weekend and will work out with Celtics physical therapist Brian Dolan and his personal trainer Robin Pound before determining if he will play in the All-Star game on Sunday. Expect Irving to return after the break if he is cleared to play on Sunday.
In 47 games this season, Irving is averaging 23.6 points and 6.9 assists.
