Markieff Morris reportedly agrees to deal with Thunder
Free agent forward/center Markieff Morris and the Oklahoma City Thunder have agreed to a contract, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Charania adds that Morris was also pursued by the Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors, and several other teams in what was an "aggressive market" for the veteran. Morris has been sidelined by a neck injury since December 26, but he was cleared to return earlier this week. The 29-year-old was waived by the New Orleans Pelicans after being dealt by the Washington Wizards at the deadline. Morris will likely compete for minutes off the bench with Patrick Patterson and Nerlens Noel.
'Kieff averaged 22.7 FanDuel points over 34 games (15 starts) for the Wizards this season, with 11.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 1.4 triples per contest.
