Jordan Clarkson's career-high 42 points unable to carry Cavaliers
Cleveland Cavaliers guard Jordan Clarkson scored a career-high 42 points (16-of-34 field goals, 3-of-3 free throws) with 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal, 1 block, and 7 3-pointers in 47.5 minutes of a 148-139 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.
Clarkson led the contest in scoring and sank 7 triples in a game for the first time since December 20, 2016. He attempted and converted more field goals than in any previous game in his career and also set a career-high in 3-point attempts. Perhaps more impressively, he joined Allen Iverson and Nate Robinson as the only players in the last 35 years to record 40-plus points, 5-plus boards, and 5-plus assists in a single game. The Cavaliers host the Phoenix Suns on February 21 in their first contest after the break.
Clarkson finished with a season-high 60.1 FanDuel points in the win. He's averaging 26.1 FanDuel points through 57 games overall.
