Tim Hardaway Jr. traded to Mavericks in deal with Knicks
The Dallas Mavericks are acquiring shooting guard Tim Hardaway Jr. from the New York Knicks, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Courtney Lee was also part of the package included with Kristaps Porzingis, which allowed the Knicks to get rid of a combined $30.9 million in guaranteed salary for next season. Wesley Matthews was sent to New York, so Hardaway has a solid chance of replacing him in the Mavericks' first unit. Allonzo Trier and Damyean Dotson could see more run in the Knicks' rotation.
THJ averaged 28.7 FanDuel points through 46 games for the Knicks, with 19.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.9 steals, and 2.5 triples per contest.
