Wendell Carter Jr. (thumb) out 8-12 weeks for Chicago
Chicago Bulls forward Wendell Carter Jr. will miss the next eight-to-twelve weeks for the team following an expected surgical procedure to heal a broken thumb.
What It Means:
Carter Jr. was originally considered day-to-day, but it now seems that the thumb injury is much more severe than originally thought. Carter Jr.'s rookie season will be put on hold indefinitely.
In 44 games this season, Carter Jr. has averaged 10.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 blocks and 25.6 FanDuel points.
