Chicago's Wendell Carter (thumb) ruled out for Thursday's game versus Denver
Chicago Bulls forward/center Wendell Carter Jr. (thumb) will not play Thursday versus the Denver Nuggets.
After initial reports had Carter out for weeks, a more positive report came out considering the rookie day-to-day with a sprained thumb. Despite the good news, Carter will miss at least one game and should be considered questionable to play on Saturday versus the Miami Heat. Bobby Portis will likely join the starting lineup with Robin Lopez seeing extra run off the bench on Thursday.
Carter has averaged 10.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game this season.
