Eric Gordon will come off the Pelicans bench Tuesday
New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Eric Gordon will come off the bench for Tuesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies, with Tyreke Evans earning the start.
Gordon appears to be the first casualty as a result of Evans returning to the rotation. Pelicans' coach Alvin Gentry said the switch is for the purpose of offensive improvement, so we'll see how the decision goes.
Gordon has struggled on the season, evidenced by a brutal -6.1 nERD, which comes in at 136th in the league. He's making less than 40 percent of his shots from the field and is only sinking 2.7 of his 7.7 3-point attempts each game, a 35.1 percent mark. His current true shooting percentage of 53.5 would be his lowest since the 2012-'13 season.
