Pelicans' Anthony Davis diagnosed with knee contusion
New Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis has been diagnosed with a right knee contusion, and he did not return to Friday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Davis needed to be carried off the court, but the Pelicans' medical staff is saying he did not suffer any structural damage. He did return to the Pelicans' bench, but Davis did not re-enter the game. He left the game with 17 points, six boards and three turnovers.
Injuries have hindered his start to the season, but he's still averaging 23.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.5 blocks per game. Davis should be considered doubtful for Saturday's game against the Utah Jazz.
