Pacers' Paul George stays red hot, scores 33 points

Indiana Pacers forward Paul George maintained his status as one of the hottest players on the planet during a 104-92 win over the Chicago Bulls on Friday, scoring 33 points with eight rebounds, two assists and four 3-pointers in 39 minutes.

What It Means:

Don't look now, but the Pacers have the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. George has been absolutely absurd as a jump shooter this season, posting a 52.6 effective field goal percentage on his 232 jumpers this year -- which is higher than his layups. If this isn't his peak value of the season, it's got to be close.

George is hitting 45 percent of his shots. It's an improvement over his past clips. Over the past three seasons, he's posted field goal percentages of 36 percent, 42 percent and 41 percent. We see him shooting 43 percent over the remainder of the season, including a 37 percent mark from beyond the arc.
