Hassan Whiteside (illness) traveling with Heat
Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside (illness) is traveling with the team for Wednesday's game against the Detroit Pistons.
Whiteside did not practice on Tuesday and remains questionable for Wednesday's game. If Whiteside is unable to play, Josh McRoberts could start in his place, with Amare Stoudemire potentially seeing an increase in minutes.
Whiteside has been one of the NBA's best players so far this season, posting an impressive 12.2 nERD, which ranks ninth. He's averaging a double-double at 14.5 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. If he's able to play against the Pistons, we project him to score 12.4 points, grab 8.3 rebounds and tally 0.6 assists.
