Lakers' Kobe Bryant sits out Tuesday's shootaround

Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant did not participate during Tuesday's shootaround, but he's still fully expected to suit up for Tuesday night's game against the undefeated Golden State Warriors.

What It Means:

Lakers' coach Byron Scott is just giving the 37-year-old Bryant as much rest as possible prior to Tuesday's game, and despite his absence at the shootaround, there's no reason to believe Bryant will miss the game.

Bryant has gotten off to an awful start this season, posting a -10.8 nERD, which ranks 155th -- or sixth-worst. He's averaging 16.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game while shooting an abysmal 33.1 percent from the field. He's got a tough matchup against the Warriors as we have their defense as being the fifth-best in the league. Our projections have Bryant scoring just 13.5 points, dishing out 4.6 assists and pulling down 3.8 boards while shooting 35 percent from the field against the Warriors.
