3 Daily Fantasy Basketball Value Plays for 4/9/16

On a smaller slate of games, who are some players that offer some salary relief?

One of the keys to finding success in daily fantasy basketball is uncovering potential value plays. If you're looking to roster a stud player or two, you'll need to find one of these lower-priced options to squeeze everyone into your lineup.

Let's take a look at three guys who can help fill the gaps in your lineup tonight. Of course, remember to check our projections closer to tip because so much can change in the NBA throughout the day.

Ronnie Price, PG, Phoenix Suns

FanDuel Price: $3,800

Ronnie Price has taken over as the starting point guard for the Suns and has done pretty well with the opportunity. He has scored 20-plus fantasy points in three of the last four games, which is really good for someone as cheap as Price is.

Price's ceiling isn't as high as we'd like it to be, because the volume of shots just isn't there. He hasn't reached double-digit shot attempts in over a month.

Even with that considered, he is still a really good option tonight based on how low his salary is. He only needs 19 fantasy points to reach five-times value (points per $1,000 in salary). Price will likely play 30 minutes tonight as they take on a banged up Pelicans team.

Maurice Harkless, SF, Portland Trail Blazers

FanDuel Price: $5,400

Maurice Harkless has been one of the hottest players in the league (compared to previous performances). His price has jumped $1,000 since his last game, which is a big negative for him but it doesn't scare me too much. He is still coming in at $5,400, so he only needs 27 fantasy points to hit five-times value, which he has accomplished in three straight games.

In his last five games, Harkless' usage rate has increased by 28.3 percent from his season average. He is playing around 30 minutes a game and he is getting the ball often. The price isn't as great as it recently was, but he is still a solid option for today's shorter slate.

Mirza Teletovic, PF, Phoenix Suns

FanDuel Price: $5,500

Mirza Teletovic has also been extremely hot recently. His fantasy points per game over his last five games has been a 70 percent increase from his season average.

Teletovic has found a groove in the Suns offense and he's been over five-times his cost in eight of the last nine games. In those nine games he is averaging 28 fantasy points per game.

Teletovic will also face a banged up Pelicans team tonight.

As always, make sure to watch for updates as the games get closer. This time of year, there are a lot of late scratches, as players are resting for the playoffs, which can drastically change the landscape of the value plays.
