Daily Fantasy Basketball Injuries and Updates for 4/6/16

Find the best value for your daily fantasy roster by knowing the latest injuries and updates.

In daily fantasy basketball, every edge matters.

One of the easiest ways to find an edge is to understand what happens to a team when injuries occur. Who stands to benefit? Who might struggle as a result? That's all vital information during the lineup-building process.

What should you know about tonight's slate of games? Let's break it down.

As always, you should make sure to double-check our NBA Player News page before finalizing your lineup.

The Definites

Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young have been shut down for the season. This isn't breaking news, but it still affects daily fantasy lineups. Henry Sims and Thomas Robinson will benefit the most the rest of the way.

Sims played 30 minutes last game on his way to 22 fantasy points. He should see similar playing time tonight and carries just a $4,000 price tag.

Robinson has been spectacular this season without Lopez and Young. However, his salary increased 33% since his last game! He will now cost you $6,000 to roster him on FanDuel. The price increase is very scary, but it is now pretty accurate compared to his recent output. Robinson is now just a decent option as opposed to a must-play, like he has been.

The To-Be-Determined List

Jose Calderon and Kristaps Porzingis are both doubtful for the Knicks tonight. In their absence, both Derrick Williams and Jerian Grant become valuable assets in the daily fantasy world. Priced at just $3,700 (Williams) and $3,600 (Grant), both players allow you to save a lot of money for stars at other positions. They should each see a lot of playing time tonight.

Nicolas Batum has now missed two straight games and is questionable to return to action tonight. Batum sitting out would give value to both Jeremy Lin and Jeremy Lamb. Last night, Lin saw a major boost as he played 40 minutes and scored 35 fantasy points. If Batum sits again tonight, Lin is the better option.

Keep an eye on the Cavaliers, Thunder, and Clippers as their games get closer to tip-off. As of now there isn't any news, but this time of year, anything can happen. All three teams have pretty much nothing to play for anymore, so it shouldn't surprise anyone if stars are rested. If any of the main players from these teams do rest tonight, there is plenty of value to be found here.

As always, make sure to check our player news section for the latest notes and updates from around the league. Good luck tonight!
