Daily Fantasy Basketball Injuries and Updates for 3/10/16

Find the best value for your daily fantasy roster by knowing the latest injuries and updates.

In daily fantasy basketball, every edge matters.

One of the easiest ways to find an edge is to understand what happens to a team when injuries occur. Who stands to benefit? Who might struggle as a result? That's all vital information during the lineup-building process.

What should you know about tonight's slate of games? Let's break it down.

As always, you should make sure to double-check our NBA Player News page before finalizing your lineup.

We just announced our new daily fantasy basketball tools for premium members that can be found here. Make sure to try out the multiple new tools and features to help you win night in and night out.

The Definites

Jimmy Butler has already been ruled out for Thursday's contest with some lingering pain in his knee. The good news is that Butler's visit to Dr. Andrews showed that there was no structural damage to his knee. In the meantime, Derrick Rose should control the offense for Chicago. With Butler on the court, Rose has a 25.9% Usage Rate compared to a 31.7% Usage Rate with Butler off the court. Rose may not be his former MVP-self but a nice 24% increase in usage should provide a lot of value for daily fantasy.

The To-Be-Determined List

Timofey Mozgov sat out last night with an illness, and Tristan Thompson did not disappoint in his absence. Thompson went off for 18 points and 15 rebounds against the Kings. Mozgov is questionable for tonight's game as well, and if he can't go, Thompson will have another chance to fill up the stat sheet. I would expect Channing Frye to see some extended time as well. However, he played just 10 minutes last night.

Don't look now, but the Lakers are on a two-game winning streak! Meanwhile, Kobe Bryant missed last night's game and may sit out of his last matchup against LeBron James tonight. The two future hall-of-famers have faced off 21 times, and with tonight being their last showdown, I personally have a feeling Bryant will suit up for one last bout against King James.

Byron Scott said that he isn't sure on his status and it remains 50/50. If Bryant does play, he is an interesting option for DFS, especially on DraftKings, where is priced at a measly $4,900. In the case that Bryant sits, D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson will get more opportunities to shine as usual. It isn't as impactful, but it is worth noting that Louis Williams is out for tonight as well, which should help the rest of the Lakers' backcourt -- whoever plays.
