Yesterday's Perfect NBA DFS Lineups: Sunday 3/1/15
Happy March everyone! If there's one thing associated with the month of March, it's basketball. While most focus on the great college hoops that we are blessed with throughout this month -- and it is great -- NBA teams are also making their final playoff pushes around this time which should provide us with some very fun basketball on both the college and pro levels.
Yesterday's slate got the month kicked off right, featuring a battle between the Rockets and Cavaliers in a game that had a major playoff atmosphere. James Harden and LeBron James put on an absolute show, both scoring more than 30 points with at least 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Those monster stat lines vaulted both MVP candidates into yesterday's perfect lineups in what was one of the best games of the entire season.
The stars weren't the only ones who came to play yesterday. Several role players showed their energy, aggression and heart by crashing the boards and providing their respective teams with the kind of extra effort that can help make the difference in a playoff series. Tristan Thompson grabbed 19 boards to go along with 14 points in the overtime game against Houston, while Jae Crowder snatched a career-best 17 boards in a close game against Golden State.
While there were many players who played well yesterday, few were as impressive as Nikola Mirotic -- and I'm not just talking bout his beard. Mirotic saw a huge increase in workload with Taj Gibson sidelined recovering from an ankle injury and made the most of it, scoring 29 points with 9 rebounds in 31 minutes of action. Mirotic has been spectacular when given the opportunity all season long and the Bulls are going to need his production down the stretch if they are going to overcome the absence of Derrick Rose.
