The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

Best of the Best

Nikola Jokic ($11,200): Ranking sixth in the NBA with an average of 1.50 FanDuel points per minute on the year, it's no secret that Jokic can produce when he's getting big minutes. Those minutes don't always come, and while that reduces his floor in some games, it also drives down his averages, keeping him cheaper than he might be otherwise, creating big value in the right spots. Over his last 10 games, there have been four games in which he played fewer than 30 minutes -- all four of those were decided by at least 20 points. In the other six he played an average of 35.9 minutes, tallying 56.9 FanDuel points per game. Tonight, he has a fairly soft matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, who allow above average fantasy efficiency to centers, and who are still playing without their top center in Anthony Davis. The Denver Nuggets are 8.0-point favorites here, so Jokic should get plenty of run, and plenty of opportunity to take advantage of the matchup.
