NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Tuesday 1/2/18

Kevin Love is set to do battle with a Portland team that has struggled mightily against power forwards. Who else should we be looking at on Tuesday's five-game slate?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

Here, we'll combine that by looking at some of the best options on Tuesday's slate of games.

Best of the Best

LeBron James (FanDuel Price: $11,500) - The Cleveland Cavaliers are on a skid -- there's no denying it. A Christmas Day loss to the Golden State Warriors is forgivable, but back-to-back defeats to the Sacramento Kings and Utah Jazz, not so much. Luckily, Isaiah Thomas will make his debut on Tuesday, which will likely infuse the team with some energy. Don't expect James to take a lesser role, though. Thomas will come off the bench and isn't expected to see more than 12 minutes. To say it's safe to roll out LeBron would be an understatement. He's averaging 6.7 more FanDuel points at home than on the road, and he's put up 62.9 and 61.1 FanDuel points in his last two games after a loss. Lock him in against the Portland Trail Blazers tonight.
