NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Saturday 12/30/17

Kristaps Porzingis has a nice matchup against the Pelicans in what should be a high-scoring game. Who else should be on your radar in NBA DFS?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and -- depending on injury news -- even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer, and a ton of other great resources to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with this primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate.

Best of the Best

LeBron James (FanDuel Price: $11,500) - With James in the midst of one of his best offensive seasons, he has become a consistent top-notch performer in DFS. He is averaging 55.0 FanDuel points per game this season and has recorded at least 53.9 FanDuel points in 10 of his last 11 games. Saturday's matchup against the Utah Jazz would seem like a difficult one for the Cleveland Cavaliers, but in fact, the Jazz have been in a slump as they have gone 2-10 over their last 12 games. They have allowed an average of 110.4 points in the 10 losses, including 126 to the Golden State Warriors their previous time out. Utah's opponents are shooting 48.8% from the field the last 12 games, leaving James in position to once again produce elite offensive numbers.
