NBA Daily Fantasy Helper: Sunday 1/29/17

The Orlando Magic have struggled lately defending point guards, putting a red-hot Kyle Lowry in a great spot. Which other players are worth looking into for NBA DFS?

If you're new to daily fantasy basketball -- maybe you started your DFS journey during the MLB or NFL seasons, or maybe basketball is your sport and this will be your first year giving it a shot -- you're in for a treat. The NBA scene changes hugely on a week-to-week, day-to-day, and depending on injury news, even a minute-to-minute basis, making every slate a unique one that requires an ever-changing approach.

With so much changing so quickly, we're here with plenty of tools to help you out. We have daily projections, a matchup heat map, a lineup optimizer and a handful of other awesome tools to help give you an edge.

We'll also be coming at you with a primer every day, breaking down a few of the day's top plays at each price point.

Let's take a look at who you should target on today's main slate, which starts at 6 p.m. EST and features six games.

Best of the Best

James Harden ($12,500): You probably don't need much convincing here, but Houston's road game at the Indiana Pacers has a 226-point over/under, the second-highest on the slate. Harden is our top-projected player by nearly five FanDuel points, and he's put up at least 50 FanDuel points in six of his last seven games. In that span, he has as many outings with more than 85 FanDuel points (one) as he does with less than 50 FanDuel points.
