Here's how our algorithms see the first-round matchups of the 2018 NBA Playoffs playing out.

The first-round matchups of the 2018 NBA Playoffs are set, and the action gets underway this weekend with a two-day octuple-header of Game 1s on Saturday and Sunday.

Series previews abound all over the interwebs, but we're here to hit you with the cold hard numbers and less of the blah, blah, blah. We'll focus primarily on series projections but also compare metrics like our very own team nERD -- a ranking on a scale from 0 to 100, with 50 as the league average, which is predictive of a team's ultimate winning percentage based on its efficiency.

Here's how our algorithms see all eight series playing out, with odds on each possible permutation of victor and number of games.
