Ice Cold Lou

Following the ruckus that went down between the Houston Rockets and Clippers on Monday, Los Angeles point guard Patrick Beverley tweeted out the very poetic, “It’s a different culture in LA. No more soft [expletive] here!!!!!”

There’s probably more to unpack there than we think, but one thing is for sure: when it comes to on-court production, Lou Williams appears to be fully embracing the team’s new attitude.

Over the course of the last month, Sweet Lou has been a top-20 fantasy producer, averaging more than 40 FanDuel points per game, thanks in large part to a hot shooting stroke that’s netting him 30 points a night on 47 percent shooting, including 44 percent from deep.

From a value standpoint, it’s important to keep tabs on Williams’ rising salary. He’s reached at least five-times value in 8 of his last 14 games, 2 of which included the 40 and 50 points he dropped on the Charlotte Hornets and Golden State Warriors, respectively. But we’ve also seen his salary reach as high as $9,500 just last week, which is a figure that feels too pricey.
