Angels place Nick Tropeano (shoulder) on DL
The Los Angeles Angels placed pitcher Nick Tropeano on the 10-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation.
What It Means:
Tropeano left his start on Monday with tightness in his shoulder. Tuesday marks the third time this season he has been placed on the DL with shoulder issues, leaving a good chance his season is over. Williams Jerez was called up from Triple-A in a corresponding move.
Tropeano logged a 4.70 xFIP, 1.30 WHIP, and 43.4% hard-hit rate over 76 innings pitched (14 starts) this season.
