Houston places Lance McCullers (elbow) on DL
The Houston Astros have placed starting pitcher Lance McCullers on the 10-day disabled list.
McCullers exited Saturday's start early, and the injury is being called right elbow discomfort. The severity isn't quite known, but Houston will be cautious with their young arm. In his place, Colin McHugh could reenter the rotation, or Houston could opt to bring up Brady Rodgers from Triple-A Fresno.
On the year, McCullers is 10-6 with a 3.93 ERA and 26.5% strikeout rate through 22 starts.
