Matt Carpenter sitting for Cardinals on Saturday
St. Louis Cardinals infielder Matt Carpenter is out of the lineup in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs.
Carpenter homered for a 5th consecutive game in Game 1 but the Cardinals fell 7-2. Jose Martinez will cover first base in the back half of the two-game set.
Carpenter entered Saturday averaging 12.4 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire's models project him to hit .262 with 16 dingers and 40 RBI over the rest of the year.
