Josh Harrison (hamstring) hopes to return for Pirates on Friday
Pittsburgh Pirates second baseman Josh Harrison (hamstring) is hoping to return to the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Cincinnati Reds.
Harrison was lifted from the final game before the All-Star break last Sunday after injuring his left hamstring while running out a grounder. The Pirates are optimistic they managed to catch the issue early enough to prevent serious damage. The 31-year-old will work out with the team in Cincinnati on Thursday before a final decision is made about Friday's opener.
Harrison averaged 8.0 FanDuel points over 61 games in the first half while turning in a .241 batting average with 4 home runs, 23 RBI, 4 steals, and 29 runs scored across 262 plate appearances.
