Nationals' Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) returning on Friday

Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) will return to the rotation for Friday's meeting with the Atlanta Braves.

What It Means:

Inflammation in his throwing shoulder has kept Strasburg sidelined since June 10, but he has made two Minor League rehab starts, and should be back to a full workload very soon.

Strasburg has a 3.46 ERA, 29.1% strikeout rate and 1.09 WHIP over his first 13 starts this season. numberFire's models project him to notch a 3.78 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 27.7% strikeout rate over the remainder of the season.
