Phillies' J.P. Crawford out four-to-six weeks with broken hand
Philadelphia Phillies shortstop J.P. Crawford has been diagnosed with a fractured left hand and is expected to miss four-to-six weeks.
Crawford has not been swinging the bat that well this season, but it's still a tough blow for the Phillies and the 23 year-old. Scott Kingery should take over as the every day shortstop until Crawford is healthy, and Maikel Franco could continue seeing more time at the hot corner as well.
Our models project Crawford for a .205 batting average, with 3 home runs, 18 runs scored, 15 RBI, and 2 steals over 178 plate appearances remaining this season.
