Dodgers' Clayton Kershaw (back) will make a rehab start on Saturday

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Clayton Kershaw (back) is scheduled for a rehab start on Saturday for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

What It Means:

There was a rumor that Kershaw might avoid a rehab start and rejoin the Dodgers' rotation immediately, but it appears plans have changed. He could only need one start in the minors before returning though. If that's the case, and Kershaw pitches on normal rest, he could be the Dodgers' scheduled starter on Thursday, June 28 at home against the Chicago Cubs.

Our models project Kershaw for a 3.92 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 88 strikeouts over 82.6 innings remaining this season.
