Giants' Buster Posey getting Sunday off for 'general soreness'
San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey is not in Sunday's lineup against the Los Angeles Dodgers because of "general soreness," manager Bruce Bochy said.
What It Means:
It's the second absence in three games for Posey, but Bochy said the backstop needed a breather as the Giants wrap up a nine-game road trip. Nick Hundley will catch and bat cleanup versus Dodgers southpaw Caleb Ferguson in Sunday's series finale.
