Rangers' Elvis Andrus (elbow) beginning rehab stint Monday

Texas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus (elbow) will begin a minor league rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on Monday night.

What It Means:

Andrus will advance to Triple-A Round Rock later this week and could be back in the Rangers' lineup by the beginning of next. He's been sidelined with a right elbow fracture since being hit by a pitch on April 11. Jurickson Profar will likely move back to a utility role on offense once Andrus returns to action.

Prior to going down, Andrus averaged 10.4 FanDuel points per game while slashing .327/.426/.500 with 2 home runs, 5 RBI, and 7 runs scored in 61 plate appearances.
